Alreadythere, withcuriouseyebrowsraised,
Theysitsedate, andhopetobeamazed.
IknowhowonethePeople'stastemayflatter,
YethereahugeembarrassmentIfeel:
Whatthey'reaccustomedto, isnogreatmatter,
Butthen, alas! they'vereadanawfuldeal.
Howshallweplan, thatallbefreshandnew,—
Importantmatter, yetattractivetoo?
For 'tismypleasure-tobeholdthemsurging,
Whentoourbooththecurrentsetsapace,
